Two breakout trades, both made their targets, which are 1.62 times the move before the breakout; aka a fib projection.

First trade was a retracement to 62% with only Stochastic confirmation. Target was the 38% of yesterday. The second trade was a counter trend trade based on the quick retreat price made after breaking above today’s high. The target was 12328, but exited after the second failed attempt to reach the target.

Took an R/T to its extension point and had a late trade triggered by a limit order at the 62% R/T of the day’s big up move.

Took the retrace to 38% for a break even trade. The next was the retrace to 62%. This was a Dr Jeff entry. I exited the trade at the 100% expansion point.

First trade was a long breakout that reversed. On the second move up it got to break even and exit. The second was a retrace to 62% of the down move with a Dr Jeff entry. I also gambled on bad news and got lucky. The third trade was a Fib Master pullback to almost 38% after the strong thrust down. I set the target at 12201, just above the “big” number.

The first down move did a quick retrace to 38% where i went short. My target didn’t get hit, so that was a breakeven trade. The second down move did make the same target. I was looking for a retrace after the breakout of the high,but it just blew through the usual turning points, so I went short. This was followed by two more b/e trades that didn’t quite make their targets.

Took a couple of Fib Master trades. They were both quite successful. I will add these to my growing arsenal of trade types.

A Dr Jeff trade (3 min bars) that was a nice bounce from support at 12099. The second trade was a breakout continuation of the up move (1 min bars) with a target at 11263.

The first trade was taken using 5 min bars and was a standard Dr Jeff entry. The second was an experiment that would have worked, but I got out early. The third was using 3 min bars and Dr Jeff again. Quite the down day.

Messy day. Not much follow through on the breakouts. Got lucky on a few other trades and one Dr Jeff trade.
